For this night no operation for William Uyen.
124 Halifaxes and 10 Lancasters of 4,6 and No 8 group to bomb marshalling yards at Cannes and railway installations on the main coastal line to Italy. The night was clear and the Pathfinders marked the target from 5,000ft but the railway yards were not hit at all and the railway workshops suffered only blast damage. The weather was cloudy with mist and drizzle early morning and late evening: fair otherwise. |

South west of Droué west of Châteaudun with combat taking place at 4,000 mtrs at 01.00 hrs. on the homeward bound trip. crash-site La Brosse, Droué, France.
